The Emblem is a symbolic representation developed from the symbol mark, and together with the symbol mark is a design element embodying Hongik’s identity. The circle, as a wagon wheel, representing the universe and the sun  expresses continuous development. The design consists of a shield, ancient documents, and a book representing the 4 seasons and 12 months of the year.  Letters and numbers within the emblem symbolize the school founding year and ideology of Hongik Humanitarianism.
