The Continuing Education Center for Fine Arts was established to give voluntary learning opportunities to people of all ages. Through these lifelong education classes, the school contributes to the expansion of art understanding in the general community.
From its opening in 1986 as the Art Education Center, the Center offers general practical classes which are systematically organized into a program known as “Artistic Creativity”. In addition, the ‘Art Theory Academy’ program runs classes related to art theory and relevant humanities fields according to needs and trends which meet social and cultural interests of the community.
Subjects at the Center are offered under a “general education program” and include not only subjects to enrich daily life, but also subjects relating to career and professions. These include programs for certification or specialized professional education. Through this “general education” umbrella, all members of society, both the general public and professionals, can combine work, life and learning. In addition to these general courses, the operation of a “credit bank program” provides further education and opportunities to those who did not undertake regular formal training at school.
Through a systematic style of Art Education, current art college professors and esteemed lecturers give the Center a reputable standing, and are helping to create opportunities for people interested in art to broaden their knowledge of art and culture.
