- Completed the AI-Semiconductor Convergence Research Building at Hwaseong 4th Industrial Revolution Campus
- Abolished the School of Computer and Data Engineering in the College of Engineering, and re-organised and renamed the Major in Computer Engineering to the Department Of Computer Engineering. Re-organised and renamed the Major in Industrial and Data Engineering to the Department of Industrial and Data Engineering.
- Renamed the Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Science and Technology to Department of Nanomaterials Engineering.

- Established the School of Performing Arts
- Renamed the College of Architecture as The College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Changed the affiliation of the Major in Urban Engineering in The College of Engineering to the Department of Urban Engineering in the College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Reorganized the Major in Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering into the Department of Civil Engineering.
- Abolished the Major in Transportation in the Graduate School Of Architecture & Urban Design. Renamed the Major in Architectural Design (Seol-gye), Major in Urban Design (Seol-gye), and Major in Interior Design as the Major in Architectural Design, Major in Urban Design, and Major in Interior Architectural Design, respectively.
- In the Graduate School of Education, abolished the Major in Korean Language Education, Major in Technology Education, Major in Business Education, Major in Mathematics Education, Major in History Education, Major in English Education, Major in Primary English Education, Major in Computer Education, and the Major in Classical Chinese Education. Integrated the Major in Curriculum and Instruction, Major in Educational Psychology, Major in Educational Administration, and Major in Lifelong Education into the Major in Education.
- Renamed the Graduate School Of Film & Digital Media to the Graduate School of Film, Digital Media & Communication. Established the Major in Advertising·Brand Management and the Major in New Media Content.
- Established the Major in Illustration in The Graduate School of Industrial Arts. Renamed the Major in Metal·Accessories Design as the Major in Metal·Jewelry Brand Design.

- Established the Major in Big Data Business within Multidisciplinary Studies. Renamed the Major in Automotive Parts and Design to the Major in Technology and Design Arts of Automotives.

- Established the Major in Korean Language and Literature and the Major in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language, as Korean Language and Literature Master’s degree programs in the Department of Korean Language and Literature Graduate School.

- Renamed the School of Meta-Design within Master’s degree programs in the Graduate School to the School of Design. Merged the Product Design Track and Transportation Design Track into the Industrial Design Track. Renamed the Major in Product and Transportation Design in the Graduate School Of Design Contents to the Major in Industrial Design.

- According to College Reorganization Act by the government, only Art Department remained open and the name was changed to Hongik Art College. Also there were hardships such government-appointed trustee was dispatched. But in 1962 the name was restored to Hongik College.
