Hongik university held a ceremony celebrating the opening of the ROTC center building and Studio building. Guests including Lee Myeonyeong, the chairman of the Hongik university board of trustees, Kim Yeonghwan, the president of the Hongik university, Lee Chun-hui, mayor of Sejong, Yoon Sangyeong, CEO of Wyai: the company which designed the building, Park Jongbae, CEO of Cross construction company: the company which constructed the building attended the ceremony.

 ROTC center building and Studio building began being designed on June, 2016, got a building permit on January 2017, started being built on April that year, and was completed after about seven month of construction.

 ROTC center building, which has two floors over ground and one underground with total floor area of 1,091.3m2 including commander of ROTC’s room, Student regiment commander’s room, ROTC trainer’s room, exercise room, will allow C-building’s space use more efficient by converting rooms formerly allocated for ROTC to classrooms.

 Studio building, a two story building with total floor area of 696.2m2 including room for making prototype and spraying respectively will be used for classes and work which cause dust and noise.
