Zelkova

Zelkova trees have been known, since long ago, as a symbol of brave and wise people due to elegant and dignified appearance. Since its appearance is somewhat elegant and heavy, zelkova trees have been known as a symbol of bold and wise men for a long time. Also, branches hang generously to give a sense of rest, and the trees’ good fruits show how valuable one’s efforts and faithfulness are. A Zelkova tree represents another form of ‘widely beneficial person’ pursued by the spirit of ‘humanitarianism’ and ‘Industy-Academia Cooperation’ which are the two founding ideals of our university. Hence, along with the image of Zelkovas surrounding both Seoul and Sejong Campuses, we once again promise ourselves to be proper and forward-looking.
